WindMark Beach
Beachfront Florida Resort Community
Nestled between St. Joe Beach and Port St. Joe, Windmark Beach is a master planned beachfront community unlike anything else in this area of the Panhandle. This project is being developed by The St. Joe Company (NYSE:JOE), and money has rarely been spared building Windmark Beach. World class architects and builders were brought together to make this community a reality.
2,000+ Acres of Coastal Living
Created on 2,020 acres of forests, wetlands, and ancient dunes, this is a new beachfront Florida resort community – a place where the best days of your life will play out with nature’s splendor as a backdrop. To make WindMark Beach a special kind of place, The St. Joe Company brought together world-class planners, architects and builders. The result is a community that inspires healthy living, encouraging homeowners to get out and enjoy the scenery, the natural surroundings, the bay, the beach, the BeachWalk, the Village Center and of course, life itself.
Beachwalk, Village Center, Beach Club
At the heart of WindMark Beach is the BeachWalk, offering walkers, runners and riders a path to enjoy the journey. Designed to offer a comfortable blend of urban excitement and coastal tranquility, Village Center is planned to include places to shop, places to dine, places to meet and places to get a little exercise. The WindMark Beach Club features a beautiful zero entry pool and beach adventures for everyone. Port St. Joe Marina just three and a half miles south, offers boat slips and storage, as well as kayak and boat rentals for water adventures.
Architectural Style
Throughout WindMark Beach, the architecture reflects a simple, time-honored connection to the region and its history. Common areas will be seaside chic, with wide windows for incredible views of the bay. And nearly every structure will be built with a metal roof, an architectural element that’s been in use in the region for over a century.
The homes at WindMark Beach will blend right in with this beautiful setting. These simple, graceful dwellings, inspired by those of Florida’s settlers, will be designed to complement the natural surroundings. To draw in cooling air, they will be raised slightly, with pitched metal roofs to carry away rain, and feature deep overhangs to provide shady retreats. The homes will be as comfortable and tranquil as the land around them.
So whether you are looking to build your dream home, purchase a home or live in the center of town in a loft home, WindMark Beach offers something for everyone.
Slow, Steady Growth
Windmark Beach is a work in progress and the community is starting to grow. Phase two of Windmark opened up lot sales in 2007 and individual lot owners are building at a slow, but steady pace. Dr. Horton, a national homeowner, bought 64 lots in early 2018 and have been rapidly building new homes on these lots.
Near the beacon is Veteran’s Memorial Park overlooking the beach with a basketball court, walking track, a playground for the kids, covered pavilions and grills. An amphitheater has been constructed and proudly displays each branch of the armed forces. This park has seen significant updates in 2017 and 2018 with more anticipated. Future plans are the construction of “The Honor Walk” and link this to it http://www.veteransparkhonorwalk.com/
