Record Turnout – Great 2023 Gollywhopper
| Great turnout with 95 boats fishing the tournament this year. Both the Captain’s party and weigh-in were a lot of fun and well attended. We paid out $28,500 on Saturday and passed on another $3,700 to the MBARA for the new aggregate division where anglers can weigh a king at the GollyWhopper and MBARA Tournament that will be held July 29. |

| The Grouper winner pictured below was caught by Fresh Out and Captain Doug Lake with 30.83 lbs. Doug and his crew brought the first snowy grouper we’ve seen to the weigh-in and they almost won target weight as well with a big scamp. 2nd place was Bandwidth and Captain Brian Stephens with 15.41 lbs. 3rd was Hard Luck Captain Darryl Carpenter with a 14.70 lbs red grouper. The target weight winner good for $3200 was caught aboard the Willie E with Captain Jeff Barber and our cook/Captain Steven Childs. 1st place in youth was 14 year old Alex Nyswonger and 2nd place was 13 year old Jake Barber. |

| The King winner pictured below was caught by Keepin’ Up and Captain Will Jones with 38.02 lbs. 2nd place was King Slayer and Captain John Corlett with 35.06 lbs. 3rd was Reel Twisted and Captain Dalton Collins with 31.66 lbs. The target weight winner good for $2975 was caught aboard the Royal Flush with Captain Todd Krause. 1st place in youth was 14 year old Beau Krause and 2nd place was 9 year old Landry Johnson |
